NABU and SAP statistics

The informant wrote that in 2023 they opened record number of cases against people's deputies, judges and top officials throughout the history of the fight against corruption during independence. The National Anti-Corruption Agency and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported suspicion to 254 individuals. These are statistics for 11 months of the year that has not yet ended.

NABU explained that reporting suspicion is one of the main stages of the pre-trial investigation. It should be understood this way: investigators have collected a sufficient number of convincing facts that this person may be involved in the crime. And after a person has acquired the status of a suspect, the process of bringing him to criminal responsibility begins.
